  1. Thanks for sharing.

I think the first logo was, to some extent, influenced by the Starbucks logo.

I really like the Silverbox logo. It has a nice illustrated look and a gentle feel to it.

  2. I would have to say I am partial to circular logos (considering I designed my own as a circular logo.) To me there is a perception of it being a seal of some sorts, and some of the examples here especially the ones for ViaSun, and Octavia Jewelry are especially well done!

  3. This is a pretty good collection – most of the logos actually communicate the idea behind the businesses that stand out. The only two I have a problem with are Dandelion and Silverbox. I agree, Gemma, that the Silverbox logo is pretty. What I’d like to see, though, is a clearer tie to photography.

That’s also the problem I have with Dandelion. It has lovely type, and then – rocks? The designer doesn’t seem to know what the English word ‘dandelion’ means: yellow flower with a lot of skinny petals. And, what does the Dandelion organization do? Consulting? Is it a bar? Or is this a prototype for a stock logo, ready to become an anything logo for either a consulting firm OR a bar? (In which case . . . someone’s hard work is about to get put on the courthouse steps in a slave auction, imho, but that’s not today’s topic.)

  4. Oops – in the first sentence above, I meant to say that most of the logos communicate the idea behind the businesses they stand for.

  5. awesome work :)
